What is Fresas Con Crema?
Fresas con Crema, or Strawberries and Cream, is a popular traditional Mexican no-bake dessert that uses 5 simple and easy-to-find ingredients. It is creamy and takes just a few minutes to throw together.
The creaminess comes from its sauce which is made by combining sour cream with evaporated milk, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla.
Then fresh strawberries are added in a creamy sauce and served in a cup, with a spoon.
This recipe is easy to customize to make it just how you like! If you like creamy, add more sour cream, if you like more strawberries, add more strawberries. Plus you can adjust sweetness according to your liking.
The result is a sauce that’s easily pourable, sweet with rich flavors similar to that of ice cream! It pairs perfectly with fresh strawberries but could also be served with any other fresh berries.
I also like to add a dollop of whipped cream on top of this crema con fresas for extra flavors.
