Few drinks are my favorite which I often make in the summers like Strawberry lemonade, Shikanji, Aam ka Panna and Mango Mojito. They are all summer coolers and help greatly in beating the heat. And Now onwards This Cherry Cooler / Cherry Panna is also my favorite.

Cherry Cooler

At home we avoid the Soft drinks and store bought drinks. we prefer to make own home-made drinks that mother nature gives us like watermelon, strawberry, lemons, coconut, mango, cucumbers, cantaloupe and cherry. All these are the fruits which are great summer coolers and help you a lot from heat stroke, which is essential here in Arizona.

Cherry Cooler

Around this month of the year, it feel like shower of Cherries in grocery stores. Super sweet cherries!! Thought let me take advantage of this beautiful cherries and make something interesting and refreshing. The Cherry cooler drink is slightly tangy, sweet and very refreshing.

Every ingredients here plays an important part in contributing taste, flavors and aroma. The cherries are sweet, the lemon gives tangy taste and freshness, roasted cumin makes it smoky, rock salt add the flavor which cannot be substituted by any other and black pepper gives little bit punch. All in all this Cherry Cooler is very flavorful, healthy and refreshing drink. Best of all, its Non-alcoholic drink. So its perfect for kids too.

Cherry Cooler

Make this drink in your next gathering, birthday party or for kids play-date. I am sure everyone will enjoy it. 🙂

How to Make Cherry Drink in a pressure cooker?

1. Take fresh cherries in a pressure cooker. Add 250ml water. Close the lid and cook it for two whistles. If you don’t have a pressure cooker or don’t want to use a pressure cooker, you may cook cherries in a pan with water for about 10 to 15 minutes or until cherry turn very soft and mushy.

2. Let the pressure cooker cools down completely. Open the lid.

3. Mesh the cherry and syrup through a sieve over a large bowl.

4. Now add sugar, black salt, roasted cumin powder, salt, black pepper powder and lemon juice. Mix it well.

5. Take a glass, add ice cubes, 3 to 4 tablespoon prepared cherry syrup. Add water or soda or sparkling water (I prefer sparkling water). Mix well and enjoy the drink.

6. This syrup stay fresh for up to a month in air tight bottle in refrigerator.
