Hello Everyone!! I am so excited to share today’s recipe of Homemade Cheese Crackers. These are so flaky, crispy, yummy and better than store bought.

Homemade Cheese Crackers

I’m the type of person that love to munch quite a few time in a day. I like variety. So today I made a batch of Cheese Crackers. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about a snack. It was Scrumptious. They were buttery and crisp.  My son likes cheese-its. And who doesn’t right!! But after eating this Homemade Cheese Crackers, he said Mummy these are really really good, better than store bought ones. 🙂 Win Win…. 🙂

Homemade Cheese Crackers

These are so easy to make. If you have few minutes and ingredients, you can have one heck of a treat.  These are perfect game day recipe for any crowd. Infect it works for everything like schools lunch, cocktail parties, play dates, snack time, tea time party and more. name an occasion that wouldn’t be better with Homemade Cheese Crackers.

Homemade Cheese Crackers

Very important notes

  • I have used Food processor to combine the dough, but you can combine it with hands too.
  • Use cold butter to get the flaky crackers. I have used unsalted butter, if you are using salted butter, don’t add extra salt.
  • I have used Colby Jack cheese. You may use any cheese of your choice.
  • Place the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling.
  • Roll thinly (Not too Thinly) about ⅛ of an inch(thickness of a cheese slice)
  • Baking time may vary depending on thickness of crackers and oven temperature.
  • This freezes very well. If you want to freeze these, Don’t bake them. Either freeze the ball of the dough or form crackers, put in the freezer on a sheet in a single layer and once frozen through, place unbaked crackers in a zip lock.
  • You can double or triple the recipe.
  • You want each element to be cold and keep them cold by chilling and resting the dough.
  • Don’t add too much water. The very least amount possible will perform the best.
  • Please don’t over work your dough.

This looks so easy – we buy things from supermarket thinking we ease our work – but making it ourselves is so satisfying 🙂 nice Dhwani
