  • Non Alcoholic Sangria

I love making mocktails/virgin drinks for family holiday gatherings.

Some of my favorite festive drinks are

  • Christmas float,
  • Christmas mojito,
  • white punch and
  • Christmas punch.

This alcohol-free sangria is one of my family’s favorites too. It is a very good option when hosting a dinner party or celebration.

It makes a large batch, has more of a festive flair, and tastes so refreshing and flavorful.

Sangria is traditionally served in Spain and Portugal and made with wine, sweetener, fruit, and a bit of brandy.

But today, I am sharing an alcohol-free sangria recipe with you all.

If you are a fan of drinks made with fresh fruit, then you are going to love this recipe.

Why you should make this recipe?

  • It’s fruity and refreshing.
  • beyond tasty
  • super simple to make
  • completely customizable
  • and perfect make-ahead drink

Ingredients required

Favorite fruits

One of the best things about this non-alcoholic sangria is that you can pretty much add all your favorite fruits or even the fruits that are in season! You can cut them in slices or in cubes, however you like. Below are some of my favorites!

  1. Apple Slices
  2. Orange slices
  3. Lime slices
  4. Cranberries

Juices

I used a mix of juices to get the perfect taste. Feel free to adjust the juices you use based on preference and what you have on hand.

  1. Grape juice – try to find a grape juice that is 100% juice with no added sugars, to avoid an overly sweet drink.
  2. Cranberry juice – use no added sugar variety
  3. Orange juice – I have used pulpy orange juice. Feel free to use no pulp too.
  4. Lime juice – lime juices offer balance, cutting the natural sweetness of the grape juice, without adding any tartness. Fresh lime juice is the best in this drink, so avoid using prepackaged lime juices

Soda

you can use either sparkling mineral water or lemon-lime soda. The difference comes down to personal preference – we enjoy it both ways! The lemon-lime soda will make this a sweeter drink, whereas, the sparkling mineral water will be less sweet. Use whichever your family prefers!

Herbs

I love to use mint and rosemary here. it gives nice flavors and looks pretty. Skip if you don’t like.

Notes, pro-tips and quick FAQs –

  • I am sharing my favorite combination of fruits and juices, but you can easily add the fruits you have on hand and your favorite juices.
  • The hardest part about making this drink is waiting for it to get ready in the fridge. Chill the sangria in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving (preferably 4-6 hours if possible) to allow the fruit to mingle with the juices. Leaving it a few hours in the refrigerator will create magic.
  • If you’re going to make sangria, it has to be in a glass pitcher so that everyone can see all the beautiful colors and ingredients! 🙂
  • You can easily make the recipe the day before and let it chill in the fridge overnight. Just wait to add the soda until serving.

How far in advance should you make sangria?

I like to make this recipe 4 to 6 hours in advance. But, you can make one hour before serving and it will still be great.

How long will sangria last in the fridge?

This non-alcoholic sangria should last for a few days in the fridge. Hold off on topping the pitcher with soda if you won’t drink it all right away.

This is the best virgin sangria recipe and is sure to be a hit at your next gathering! And yes don’t forget to make plenty – this one goes fast.
