Kesar Elaichi Shrikhand is a well-known dessert in India that is simple to make and tastes very nice. Saffron and Cardamom are the best friends of any sweets.

Traditionally Shrikhand is made from hung curd. It takes hours to make shrikhand with hung curd. But this time I made Kesar Elaichi Shrikhand with Sour Cream, yes you heard it right with sour cream instead of curd.

It gives a very nice texture and flavor. You can make shrikhand in a very short time. I have added very few saffron strands as I didn’t want the yellow color of shrikhand.

A few days ago I shared a recipe of Amrakhand / Mango Shrikhand made with yogurt/curd.

You can make Amrakhand / mango shrikhand with sour cream as well, It will be ready in no time. Just add mango pulp while mixing sugar.
