I love avocados. I could eat them every single day.

My favorite way to eat avocados is in milkshakes, smoothies, salads, on toast, in salad dressings etc.

This Avocado Dressing recipe with Lemon and Cilantro is delicious on Sandwiches, wraps, on steamed vegetables, on pasta, in tacos too. Avocado Dressing add instant flavor to just everything! It’s Divine on anything. It is addictingly delicious dressing.

I love it as a dip with fresh veggies. This salad tastes best in Southwestern Salad.

My sons favorite way of eating Avocado Dressing is as a spread on Roti(Indian Flatbread). 🙂 He can have it 365 days. 🙂

What Ingredients are in Avocado Dressing Recipe?

This avocado dressing includes Avocado, cilantro, Jalapenos, Lemon juice, salt, garlic, and yogurt. I like little bit spicy avocado dressing so I have added Jalapenos. But it’s completely optional.

To make Vegan Avocado Dressing, skip the yogurt and use 1 tablespoon Olive oil or ¼ cup Coconut milk.

Use good quality avocados. Dont use overripe or raw avocados.

How to make Avocado Dressing Recipe / Sauce / Dip?

Making homemade Avocado Salad dressing is so easy. All it takes 6 ingredients, 5 minutes, a blender or food processor and a good salad. That’s it!

To make the Avocado Cilantro Dressing recipe add all the ingredients, avocado, cilantro, lemon juice, garlic, jalapenos, salt, and yogurt, to a blender. Then, pulse or blend until you have a nice, creamy consistency. That’s it!!

I like my homemade Avocado dressing on the thicker side, so I don’t add water. If you prefer a thinner dressing, just add a little bit of water while blending.

The best part of this homemade salad dressing is that all that citrusy goodness keeps this from turning brown. This dressing stays vibrantly bright green for up to 4 days. So this is a good option as make-ahead dips and dressings.

Add Ons –

You can add a much different variety of things in this dressing to make it even tastier. Like –

Mango

Spring onions

Cumin

Chives

Basil or any herb

Habanero Peppers

Pineapple

Have 5 minutes? Then I suggest you try this healthy Salad dressing for your favorite salads. Or even try this Avocado dressing as a dip for your next party and watch It disappear. 🙂

Is it possible to freeze this dressing? The batch makes MUCH more than I can use in the 4 days 😏

      Hi Terry!
Yes, you can freeze it. Put the dressing into freezer safe jar or bag, place it into freezer. The other way to store this is, put the dressing in ice tray, put it into freezer. When it is rock solid, take the cubes out and store it in ziplock bag, and freeze it again. It will stay good up to a month or two. Hope this helps.

Thank you 😁 I got those little sorta square plastic containers … hold like 1/4 cup.or less … at Dollar Tree and already have some of it frozen.

It is really good….love it as a dip and salad dressing.

Is there another fresh herb you would recommend to change it up?
