Ah… Bruschetta, one of the best appetizer to enjoy any time of the year, specially summer. Bruschetta is an classic Italian appetizer. I make many types of Bruschetta like Tomato and Olive Bruschetta, Tomato and Basil Bruschetta, Chick-pea Bruschetta, Hummus Bruschetta etc. Today I am going to share recipe of Tomato Bruschetta with Balsamic Glaze. This appetizer or side dish makes a crispy complement to any Italian Entree.

Tomato Bruschetta with Balsamic Glaze is very flavorful, easy to put together and perfect for a party. You can make this in a large batch ahead of time, as well as toasting Baguette slices.

Tomato Bruschetta With Balsamic Glaze

This recipe is all about getting the perfect blend of Tomatoes, Onion, Basil leaves and Mozzarella cheese together and immersing them in the olive oil to bring out their lovely flavors. When this Mixture is placed on top of the toasted Baguettes and Drizzled with Balsamic Glaze, Gastronomy is born… 🙂

Tomato Bruschetta With Balsamic Glaze

Tomato Bruschetta with Balsamic Glaze is very flavorful, easy to put together and perfect for a party. You can make this in a large batch ahead of time, as well as toasting Baguette slices.

Ingredients

For Balsamic Glaze

  • 1 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 tsbp Sugar

For Bruschetta mixture

  • 3 Good quality firm and ripe Tomatoes
  • ¼ cup Onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh basil leaves
  • ¼ cup Mozzarella cheese cubes
  • 2 tablespoon Extra virgin Olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • French bread slices or Baguette slices

Instructions

For Balsamic Glaze

  • In a small sauce pan, Add sugar in to the Balsamic Vinegar and heat them over medium heat until it boils. Continue to cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the sauce is reduced by half. Stir occasionally. be sure to keep an eye on it because it can burn quickly. You will know it is done if it coats the back of spoon.
  • Remove from the heat. Let it cool completely.

For Bruschetta mixture

  • Take mixing bowl. Add chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, basil leaves, mozzarella cheese cubes, salt and extra virgin olive oil.
  • Mix well, cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes into the refrigerator.
  • Meanwhile, take slices of bread, apply some olive oil on the sides and bake it into the preheated oven @ 350 degree F. for about 10 minutes or until golden brown in color from both the sides.
  • Let it cools down.
  • Put spoonful of bruschetta mixture on top bread slice and drizzle some balsamic vinegar.
  • Your Easy Tomato Bruschetta with Balsamic Glaze is ready. Enjoy!!

    My glaze has hardened after cooling to the extent the spoon is stuck, can you suggest what to do

      Ohh no… So sorry it happened to you. You can add water to that bowl and boil it again. This may help in removing the spoon.
