Since the mid-80’s, I’ve owned all sorts of turbo cars. They sure have changed over the years – you just learn how to drive them and you will never get into any trouble. The older ones, you kept the revs up to stay in the boost, so it was important to have a manual. Turbos with autos were terrible. Now, they’ve programmed them to have no noticeable lag. My recent ride in a Bronco with a 4 cylinder Turbo with 300 HP.. The 10 speed auto keeps it in the sweet spot most of the time – I drive it in Sport mode all of the time, though.

Was named “Best Styled Car of 1974” by the editors of Car and Driver magazine. A Popular Mechanics survey indicated “luscious looks of Matador coupe swept most owners off their feet” with a “specific like” listed by 63.7% of them for “styling”.
Too bad at the least you could not get a 401 & 4 speed manual in these.
The partial vinyl roof is not helping the looks, IMO.

Love the unmolested engine compartment. Even the emission set-ups that were usually ripped out are still there. Was really taken cared of.

PS, remember when TURBO was such a marketing buzz word? If you do, your getting to be antique like the cars on this site just like me ha ha ha LOL!!! I remember when even a new Hoover vacuum proudly displayed a TURBO label. OMG even shaving cream spray cans bragged about turbo action in the 80s. the 80s, everything worth a poo MUST BE TURBO!

No wonder they put covers over modern engines.
Circular front parking lites under the chrome bumper on std camaros would have looked better, IMO.

Wow, I’m tempted to have classic cars in full size again, and at this price, I could almost afford to. Sometimes a 1500+ collection of models is not the same as a real life size collectible car. My mums had a 1990 Sunbird LE sedan in turquoise with red body accents and a backlit red dashboard. Mom still misses and talks about that car! This car has got to go up in value sometime, someone please grab it and give it a good home! I would if I could, but right now I just can’t, or I for sure would.

Looks like that bumper up front could take more than a 5 mph hit!
Compare how far it sticks out with the 1 on a ’76 chevette or ’74 vega.
Unlike today, i believe no power door mirror(s) avail in ’70s & older cars.

This looks like the notorious Golden Olive that was on the recent ’73 Grand LeMans and ’73 GTO (originally) again. At Buick, it was called Green Gold, but it is the same color with the same 46 paint code on the data plate.

FWIW, Olds called it Moss Green and Chevrolet called it Green Gold like Buick. There was no Cadillac equivalent. I always found it amusing the way GM used the same colors across the divisions, and just named them differently.

I’ll bet that “James” the owner since ’68 is really happy with this seller, who claims to have been in touch with him since he first spotted the car in his garage 15 years ago. “James” probably thought he was selling his prized possession to someone who was going to love it as much as he did.

Instead, his 15 year “friend” is flipping it.
